Sensei Samantha Hostettler holds the rank of black belt in four different systems of karate. She is a Sixth degree black belt in Shotokan, the main system taught at Champion Karate. She has been training in martial arts for over 20 years. She has competed on the United States National Team multiple times. She is a repeat USA National Champion most recently winning a gold medal for fighting, silver medal in kata, and bronze in weapons. She won three silver medals at the 1997 Pan-American Championships and most impressively won the gold medal in fighting and two silver medals at the 1998 World Championships earning her the elite title of World Champion. She is currently a consultant for the nationally acclaimed martial arts magazine American Samurai and was named Level A coach for the USANKF making her one of only two females in the United States qualified to coach the USA National Team. She is also the Southeastern Chairman for the Traditional Shotokan Karate-do Union. She is the co-founder for the international karate tournament circuit �Champions Cup� a series of international tournaments where outstanding athletes can win scholarships to pay their tournament expenses for the World Championship Trials. |
